Lines of Effort
Here's what we've arrived at so far - Version 4. Version 4 is obviously a bit short, and is clearly NOT a thumbhole. In fact, if glued properly, it would properly work in California as is. You'll note we're using the same AirSoft dummy tube as in Version 3; however, as displayed, Version 4 will properly fit a mil-spec buffer tube. If you need to mount to a 6 hole commercial tube, look carefully at the Version 3 lug system. Many thanks to Loki, who pointed out that as built, it was sharp as hell, hence the barrels on the back left corner, & the irregular shaped cheekpiece on top.
Due to the parts on hand, we built from the bottom up; as such, this design MUST be glued.
Here's a MLCad generated plan of the stock:
Here's the Version 4 MLCad file. It will open as a text file in your browser, so you'll need to save it, & open MLCad to read it. See the Links page for MLCad.
